Sea Dwarf is a fine-to-medium textured selection of Seashore Paspalum (Paspalum vaginatum), adapted for high-performance turf use in warm and humid climates. Its bright green blades form a dense, carpet-like turf through vigorous stolon and rhizome spread. This turf variety uses significantly less water than many common grasses and adapts well to sandy or clay soils. Thanks to its strong salt and flood tolerance, Sea Dwarf is ideal for marine environments, reclaimed-water irrigation systems, and low-maintenance landscapes.
Mowing at 25–50 mm with regular trimming ensures consistent density and optimal playability. While seed options exist, vegetative planting methods such as sod, plugs, or sprigs offer faster establishment and full coverage within weeks when properly installed. The cultivar shows excellent weed resistance, fast drought recovery, and performs well under moderate shade. Its low fertilizer needs and adaptability make it a perfect choice for golf courses, sports fields, and resilient coastal landscapes.

Sea Dwarf provides outstanding turf quality with thin foliage, bright green color, and fine texture. It is a dwarf warm-season grass requiring 50% less water and 50–70% less nitrogen fertilizer than Bermuda. Extremely salt-tolerant, it can be irrigated with water up to 22,000 ppm, including effluent, reclaimed, or brackish water. Stolon needs four weeks to establish full coverage, though rollgrass can be used immediately.
