Hydro Seeding

Even Coverage, Fast Germination – The Smarter Way to Seed Large Areas

Hydroseeding (Seed)

is an efficient, cost-effective method of spraying a seed-rich slurry for quick, uniform grass establishment on large or difficult terrains.

Hydroseeding is a modern grass planting technique that combines seed, water, fertilizer, mulch, and tackifiers into a slurry and applies it to prepared soil using high-pressure hydraulic sprayers. This method ensures even seed distribution, promotes rapid germination, and provides excellent erosion control — especially important on slopes, embankments, and large landscape areas. The mulch layer retains moisture, protects seeds from the sun and wind, and accelerates root development.

Within just 7 to 10 days under optimal conditions, germination begins, and full coverage typically develops in 4 to 6 weeks depending on the seed mix used.

Hydroseeding allows for the blending of multiple seed types in a single application, making it perfect for transitional climates. It can incorporate soil stabilizers and mycorrhizal additives to enhance long-term root strength. The mulch in the slurry acts as a natural erosion barrier during early establishment. It’s a popular choice for DOT (Department of Transportation) highway and infrastructure projects.

COST-EFFECTIVE LANDSCAPING SOLUTIONS

Uniform Grass Growth for Large-Scale Projects

Çimser’s hydroseeding service utilizes premium cool- and warm-season grass seed blends tailored to climate, soil type, and intended use — from public parks to sports fields and highway medians. The technique is ideal for projects where quick germination, reduced labor, and low costs are priorities. In contrast to traditional hand seeding, hydroseeding offers a uniform application that minimizes patchiness and enhances long-term turf quality. It’s also more economical than sod while providing equally effective results when paired with Çimser’s ongoing turfgrass maintenance programs such as irrigation management, vertical mowing, and fertilization.

Germination

Seed, fertiliser, mulch and water are mixed in a tank to form a thick slurry. So, this process provides the necessary moist and heat for the seed to germinate quickly.

With the sufficient fertilization and irrigation on the area, it is possible to have a dense carpetlike turf texture after 8-10 weeks. This method is applied everywhere when there is no time limitation and cost savings is important.
